Thoughtful evaluation when the clinical picture is not straightforward
Welcome
Many people come to psychiatry when things have not fully made sense.
Symptoms may overlap, treatments may not have helped as expected, or the overall picture may feel unclear.

I spent seven years in emergency, hospital, and intensive care settings, working on a psychiatry consultation service. I assessed and managed patients with complex presentations involving medical and psychiatric factors.
My training in psychiatry, family practice, and adult-gerontology care allows me to evaluate the full clinical picture, where mental health, medical factors, and life context intersect.

This broader perspective often helps clarify what is contributing, what may have been missed, and how care can move forward with greater direction.

Why This Work Matters to Me
Over time, I found myself drawn to patients whose experiences did not fit neatly into a single explanation. Symptoms overlapped, or prior care had not brought the expected relief.

Earlier in my career, I worked in faster-paced settings where decisions were often made quickly. That experience shaped my appreciation for a more deliberate approach that allows space to think carefully, revisit assumptions, and understand the full clinical picture.

In my current work, I focus on thoughtful evaluation and steady, collaborative care. Medication can be an important part of treatment, but it is most effective when grounded in a clear understanding of what is actually happening.

This is the work I find most meaningful.
Helping bring clarity when things have felt uncertain, even when the picture is complex and the path forward is not immediately clear.
